Noor Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms explain the fair rules for using Noor. Noor is provided by Generatic Ltd, company number 16628855, at Flat 16 Novello House, Stoke Road, Slough, England, SL2 5BW.
About Noor
Noor is a Quran reading, listening and learning companion. You can use this version without an account, advertising or an in-app payment. Some features need an internet connection unless supported content is already downloaded.
Learning support
Word matching, scores, Hifz status and recitation feedback are learning aids. They are not Tajweed certification, an ijazah, a religious ruling, or a substitute for a qualified teacher or scholar. Speech recognition can be incomplete or inaccurate because of noise, the device, language support or recitation style.
Translations, Tafsir and word explanations also support study; they do not replace the Quran text or qualified religious guidance.
Using Noor respectfully
You may use Noor for personal reading, listening and learning. Please use the app and its religious content respectfully and lawfully. Do not try to damage the service, bypass security or reasonable usage protections, obtain another person's information, or use content in breach of the law or a provider's terms.
Bookmark notes stay on your device. Do not use them to store unlawful material, passwords, authentication codes or other secrets. A download option does not give permission to redistribute the downloaded material.
Content from other organisations
Noor brings together Quran text, recitations, translations, Tafsir, word learning and Hadith from specialist providers. Those organisations may own rights in their material and may set conditions for its use. Provider names and links appear on Where Noor's content comes from.
Noor's own software, artwork and arrangement also remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These terms do not transfer ownership of Noor or third-party content to you.
External services
Noor uses online content and audio providers and the Apple or Google speech service on your device. It may also offer links that you choose to open outside the app. Availability and privacy practices for those services are controlled by their operators, and their terms may apply when you use them.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Noor useful and accurate, but we do not promise that every feature, provider, recognition result, translation, commentary or progress record will always be available or error-free. Online services can be interrupted, and content providers can change or withdraw material.
We may need to correct errors, improve safety or accessibility, comply with the law, respond to a provider change, or protect the service. This can mean changing or removing a feature or content. Where practicable, we will explain a material change in the app or on these pages.
Ending use
You can stop using Noor and uninstall it at any time. See Remove your Noor data before uninstalling, because Noor has no account from which to restore local notes or progress.
We may limit requests that are abusive, unlawful or harmful to the service. We will not use this to take away rights that the law gives you.
Our responsibility
Noor is designed for personal learning, not for emergency, medical, legal, financial or other safety-critical decisions. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where the law does not allow that. We do not exclude responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Your rights
If you use Noor as a consumer, you have legal rights in addition to these terms. Nothing here removes the rights and remedies that consumer law gives you or prevents you from seeking a remedy that the law makes available.
Privacy and support
The Noor Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. For help, read Noor Support or email support@generatic.co.uk.
Governing law
The law that applies and the courts available to you can depend on where you live. Any mandatory consumer protections in your country or region continue to apply. These terms do not require you to give up a court or remedy that the law says must remain available.
